INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package Giovanni Rana Italian Sausage Tortelloni
  • 1.25 cup tomato sauce
  • 4 Tbsp milk
  • 10 basil leaves
  • 4 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese to serve
  • Salt and pepper to taste

START COOKING

Cook the tortelloni according to package instructions. In the meantime, heat the tomato sauce with half of the basil leaves and milk over low heat; season with salt and pepper, adding pasta water a little at a time if you need to loosen the sauce.

Strain tortelloni and season with half of the oil. Divide the tomato sauce between two soup plates. Garnish with tortelloni, drizzle with the remaining oil, season with pepper, sprinkle with Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, garnish with the remaining basil leaves and serve.
